‘‘Now, our monthly revenue is well over €27K, matching the revenue we had at one of the Food Portals. So we quit them four months ago’’
Before launching with OrderYOYO, I had been with one of the main Food Portals for eight long years. The Food Portal had access and control of all my customer data, and I continued to pay a higher commission fee every year. I took my business to OrderYOYO in February 2017.
Initially I had my own website set-up with an optimised branded online presence with Google My Business and everything else that OrderYOYO does to brand my store online. I also received my branded flyers which included a 10% discount that we delivered to our existing customers – primarily the ones coming from the Food Portal. In my first three months with OrderYOYO, I received 3,085 orders and made a total revenue of €74,711. Now, our monthly revenue is well over €27K, matching the revenue we had with one of the Food Portals. So we quit them four months ago.
With OrderYOYO’s favourable pricing structure – and by discontinuing one of the portals – I have saved approx. €12,500 over the course of the last three months. All in all, my restaurant has accumulated a total of 4,024 customers in our database, 300 of them being new customers to my business. It has to be mentioned that before, we used to have three cars delivering food in three different cities. Now, we have reduced to two cars delivering our food in just one city, and thereby reducing our costs even further.
Because of the convenience of the app provided by OrderYOYO, my customers also order more frequently with a rebuy percentage of 86%, and 45% of my orders are now collection orders. On the portal, that number was less than 25%. Every day, I increase orders by letting people know how to download my own app and order directly. It’s working out quite nicely for me.
